Our methodology
This page explains concretely how we choose which laptops to feature, where the data on each product page comes from, and what limitations our process has. We think this is more useful than a vague promise of "expert analysis."
How we select laptops
We actively search Amazon for laptops with dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX or AMD Radeon GPUs, prioritizing real variety: different GPU tiers, different price ranges, and different brands, instead of repeating the same model with slight variations. Before adding a laptop we verify it's available as a new product (not refurbished) and that its specs exactly match what the seller has published.
How we verify GPU specs
We classify each GPU (VRAM, generation, family) by checking the product listing against the official specs published by NVIDIA and AMD for each model — we don't assume data or fill it in based on similarity with other machines.
Prices, availability, and reviews
The prices we show are a reference taken from Amazon at the time we add or review each laptop — they can change without notice, since we don't control them. We always recommend confirming the final price on the product page before buying. The ratings and number of reviews you see on each page are the same ones Amazon reports publicly; we don't generate or edit reviews.
What we don't do (yet)
We're transparent: today we don't buy or physically test every laptop ourselves. Our comparisons are based on verified specs, real market prices, and aggregated buyer reviews — not our own lab testing. If we add hands-on testing in the future, we'll state it explicitly in the corresponding article.
How we interpret real-world use
We assign each laptop to use-case categories (gaming, artificial intelligence, video editing, Blender, architecture, programming) based on the combination of its GPU, VRAM, processor, and RAM against the typical requirements published by the software and hardware makers themselves for those tasks — it's not an isolated opinion, it's a direct reading of the specs.
